Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)
We believe that the best learning happens when children feel supported and engaged. Developing social and emotional skills is essential for becoming a good student, a caring friend, and a responsible member of the community.
Our SEL program aims to prevent risky behaviors like bullying and helps students develop these important life skills through classroom activities, positive experiences, and involvement from parents and the community.
Key areas we focus on include:
Growth Mindset: Believing that abilities can improve with effort.
Self-Efficacy: Believing in your own ability to achieve goals. The belief in one’s own ability to succeed in achieving an outcome or reaching a goal.
Self-Management: Learning to control emotions, thoughts, and actions in different situations.
Social Awareness: Understanding and empathizing with others from different backgrounds, and knowing the resources available in the family, school, and community.
Our SEL program starts in preschool and continues through high school, ensuring children build these skills as they grow.
